GPS Day attracts geocachers, land surveyors and the general public to participate in one of the largest, simultaneous collections of GPS data at sites throughout the United States.

The event aims to the demonstrate real-world applications and mainstream capabilities of GPS measurement while bringing awareness to the profession of land surveying.

GPS Day is part of the National Surveyors Week, an initiative encompassing key educational achievements and Land Survey awareness.

GPS Day will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012

So if you see someone out with GPS equipment set up on Saturday, stop and ask them any questions you may have about GPS.  That is what they are there for.  See the GPS Day website for more information.
